Mission

The mission of the Illinois Virtual Campus is to assist distributed learners and higher education providers in Illinois

1. By providing online access to the distributed education offerings of the state's colleges and universities

2. By marketing Illinois online courses and programs

3. By providing local support services needed by students enrolled in online education throughout the state

4. By providing access to the various Illinois online initiatives that assist distributed learners in Illinois

5. By linking the specific online education and training needs of Illinois businesses and industries and their employees with online courses and programs provided by Illinois colleges and universities

6. By supporting higher education providers with resources, services, and information regarding online learning and online student services

7. By providing state and national leadership in online learning

Vision

It is the vision of the Illinois Virtual Campus to provide residents of Illinois with easy access to all of the online offerings of Illinois colleges and universities, to provide high quality support services for all online students in Illinois, and to provide statewide leadership for the development of quality, comprehensive, and cost-effective online higher education offerings to meet the needs of Illinois citizens.
